I don't think I'm angry enough...
Road raging drunks
Demanding sovereignty of the road
I didn't ask for conflict
I just wanted to get home
My son.
Still a child. 17...
My child.
I insisted that he stay.
Following my own advice
Still haunts me everyday
I can smell the man's beer breath
On my upper lip
I can taste his putrid hate
Every time that he spits
My forehead still Burns
From when he pushed his to mine
It throbs like a bomb
In need of more time
Words were exchanged, it's all now...

Queens Don’t Swing
Gotta say, it saddens me,
How we walk by one another,
But won’t speak,
Will give a body scan though,
Pause & look each other from head to toe,
Assuming the position of some kind of enemy,
Treating each other like a foe.
All of that, I try not to feed,
Because honestly, there’s really no need,
I’m never here to compete...
That’s not possible because we’re all unique:
Ain’t no one like you...
& ain’t no one like me.
Like Ms. Scott tried to tell us,
Queens Don’t Swing,
So you can fix your face, ...

Ruth was an icon, she was the real G
Bader was crusader for women’s rights
Ginsburg fought for justice and equality
Taking on battles, shining a bright light
She was a rockstar when she’d disagree
Flexing muscle - just check out her arm curls
And her dissents were very legendary
Schooling you till you clutched your pearls
Her influence enhanced our society
I think she was a badass in retrospect
Don’t believe me, read up on herstory
She truly deserves some mad respect
R.I.P. Dear Notorious R.B.G.
You are a hero...

Dress like this,
Dress like that,
Don’t wear that in public at all,
Shave your arms,
Shave your legs,
Make sure you are a blank canvas,
For others to write rules,
For others to write regulations,
For others to write wage gaps,
For others to write “back handed compliments”
Yet if your canvas is damaged,
Left with no love or care,
You are left to repair it yourself,
Your canvas with rules from others,

You were a masterpiece once,
Ruined by the Misogyny,

to such rock and roll
and fluid grace
how do i wreck it like ralph
and pave way for your march
to lick my wounds at the potential loss of stilettos

Have you ever talked to a woman before?
A woman can give you love, happiness, and even more.
But in the past, women were seen as the lesser gender,
But that’s just not right, and I want to be the gap mender.
Women deserve lots of love and attention,
They deserve lots of hugs and other things I should mention.
A woman is courageous, a woman is bold,
Someone to talk to, someone to hold.
And if you meet one, you love more than the others,
Love them like you would love a sister or brother.
They need lots of cuddling...
