I close my eyes
Let the darkness take me in
As I fade away
I hear your voice call out to me
I see you there
A shining light that draws me near
When you went away
My heart was broken for all time
nothing left to say
A million tears still left to cry
When darkness falls

Does Anybody Dream a Comedy
I'm wakin' up again from a bad nightmare
and I don't think I can fall back asleep
even though it's late, I know I'll be okay
but I'm tired of the same old, same old, tragedy
does anybody dream a comedy
or am I the only one who never has?
is it odd I've never heard a laugh
or a piano playin' Alley Cat
so I'm wonderin' if anybody dreams in comedies
unlike me
the road is dry and boring on this long haul out to west Texas
and I'm itchin' for a break to catch some zzz's
not because I'm tired, no, the situation's...

With a hollow breath in a heavy world
Her faith is a fallen leaf in an early morning light
Love caught in a whirlwind
With a plead to never say goodbye

All Paths Lead Down The Rabbit Hole Or Where They Should
A ball rolls down a hill
Bumbling and tumbling
Free radical loose on the street
A prisoner watches it incomplete
In the side pocket of dreams
Ricocheting off to nowhere it seems
Streaming through tunnels and corridors
Of amazing twists and syncopated colors
A flick of a switch
An unnoticed twitch
A fleeting glimpse
Or a secret knowing stolen kiss
Flying through space swiftly
Avoiding the storms deftly
Skipping over water waved in currents
Black to yellow to orange to yellow pageants
...

THE TRUCULENT GIRL
Sitting by my window looking at the park
Watching children play and hearing dogs bark
I see a young girl who triggers an EVANESCENCE
As my mind and my heart remembers her essence.
TRUCULENT in all her ways with all good people
She was banned from the market with the golden steeple
The RANCOR she bore in her heart
Had sharpen her words like fiery darts
If you paid her a compliment, you heard her BLITHER
Her CAVIL-talk often a clipper
Chopping down anyone who came in peace
Her CHICANERY tearing people piece by piece.
I remember...

Something In the Mirror
A coagulation of ideas,
congregations around the bleeding
dreams of yesterday, while the remains
of a life slowly drain away
I often tug at the scab of unrealized
creations, yearning for things long since
taken away, it's the invisible scars that
often hurt the most
Had love been the cure, the candle in my
heart might still burn, alas there is only cold
where warmth once was, and an emptiness
from whence a universe is born
So deep the fantasy, to reality there is
no return, only the continuous walk between ...

Togetherness
I see your face in the mist
of our dreams, as I reach for you
we transcend into smoke wafting
into our private heaven
In the cold blackness of space
we feel ourselves together, making
love that supersedes reality, transforming
scars into stars as we supernova
Bathing in pools of pleasure
an ecstasy born from the blood
of fantasy, as we collide little drops of
reality fall upon our lips
The arousal of anticipation breathes
deeply the sky and the time of dreams
comes to its climax, the smoke clears ...
of our dreams, as I reach for you

My love, beautiful and perfected
leave your realm of light behind
follow your heart to me,
my dark soul calls to you
from across this vast expanse
reach out to me now.
In these depths, void of all light,
still my heart burns for you,
a deep longing permeates my soul
Your beauty, is an all consuming fire
reducing my will to ashes.
Come take my hand,
abandon your inhibitions,
I will lead you to another place
not of this universe

A Dream and a Nightmare
She was doing her show
She's so hot, ya know
I couldn't take my eyes off her
It was hard to believe
She was going home with me
