heat has left the building and my work-break
tea has long been smuggled down my neck
thought i had lost the rest of me somewhere
that all and everything was worth an ear
but her voice in staccato is dotting around
celebrity court, some colleague drama, and
an ambling quest for hubby's fast track passport
in a world where bureaucracy has slowed
to that sneak my chameleon used to do
whilst trying
to look like

of friendship & acquaintance (a journal entry of visions)

this first letter
posted to the queen
needing to protect her tea
seen floating through
Cape Town, where
Atlantic oceans kissed
the Indian sea
2.
relationships built in pain,
tears, broken hearts,
grease under finger nails,
walks through mountains
transporting water in pails.
3.
life is not easy
there's enough street in your blood
to know sacrifice
enough tear in your make up
to preach suffering

placing christmas cards
on a mantelpiece ...

I grew up in the seventies
it was disco and sex
I dream of New York and culture
I loved the Italian men
leisure suits and power
I grew up in a middle class white bread family in California
the city life called to me
I longed to be a mob bosses wife
safe behind a fence in a mansion somewhere
with a Robert DeNiro style husband
what the hell it was the God Father and Al Pacino
and the Teflon boss Gambino on the TV
I hungered inside me I growl, seeking power
I knew I was out of control I longed for someone to tame me ...

beat a social worker half to death

Putin called on a burner, there's a little issue
in a storm water drain,
just south of Munich.
My Russian isn't fluent, it was difficult to decipher.
I heard "balloon" and "ice cream"
militant code words for
"internet"
and "a cold, sweet, creamy dessert" .
I ran to the local drug store, bought a home pregnancy test
just incase.
My neighbor is a sex therapist,
she said this dream means
I need to re-connect...

Listen To The Longing Within
My shadow and I walk toward the twilight.
Vespers casts a yearning upon my heart.
Absence of solace won’t allow me my sleep.
I'm wired and wide awake on this damp dreary night.
The clouds overhead are heavy, hovering between horizon and hope.
I am ever aware of the silent grandeur seeping from my mind.
I turn to face the darkness within myself.
The echo of my ego taunts me.
I shouldn’t question intuition or insight when a particular stimulus passes through my intellect.
I remember the hollow cavern of my own deception. ...
