More Than The Eye Can See- Poetic Strength
It took me long
To correct the self-inflicted
It seemed as if I settled for less,
Now in the mirror
I see the woman I have become,
resemblance of beauty and Intelligence
I overcame the barriers between life and death at birth,
I didn’t succumb to failure of tests
Father- and defenseless,
but I had the greater one above … “God”
"You know how much I fought for my education"
And when that time..... facial paralysis
decided to knock on my door one night,
Woke up ,swollen and numb,
During my prime time,
That was...

Butterfly - A step of courage
Growing up surrounded by rocks
and ocean border, with beautiful sunset,
on a distance, no other land or bridges to cross,
only prayers will suffice in hurricane seasons,
Even though the sun never takes vacations,
the rain is more than welcome once in
a while, To moderate the heat a bit,
No wonder ,Im in love with the smell
That heaven drops,

outside

Keep Going
Pain is never ending, life is ever ejecting unfair circumstances at you, step up above the rest and feel the discomfort of prominence against a tide of turbulent time
Tied into draining oblivion, trying not to drown before the plug is completely pulled free
Skin sheds away with further resilience, this life – such a sardonic pardon to the soul
Realities inside realities, Dionysian escape unfurling banners of joy, yet always with the backlash lest you bite too hard in throes of ecstasy
Beaten down to an abject pulp, self-terminating freedom, how much...

Complication
When I do look in the mirror
(though I try to avoid them)
this is what I see
who I strive to be
A bold inconvenience
a not so subtle truth
shouted outside of any booth
meant to keep such secrets
Such a thorny potpourri
meant for you to see
a disruption
a dragging of the stylus
Fingernails down a chalkboard
or even wet cardboard
(how I hate that)
just to make you cringe
While I continue to binge
on all of this attention
about blatant pretension
just waiting to be cut
(though I try to avoid them)
this is what I see
who I strive to be

A Woman
Mystic scent of pleasure,
Her charm.... perfection,
Chocolate eye of kinsmen,
Walked along the shore
the ocean’ wide embrace
of delicate salt- water’s drip
warmth of sun-moon light … her rays,
pierced the clouds and formed her name,
amid the sky as blue as she might be...
The smirk she conveyed like songs of bird’s
when the clock hit her with number ten,
Scattered crystals
harmed petals …inevitably
-often left to fade….
reborn once more in façade; love of grace,

Deep, thick, rich—
Roots wrapped in stories,
Stories that echo through the veins of time,
Through generations,

Through survival,
Through power.

They were the ones who turned chains into gold,
