the tarrifs
The Tariffs
here we go again, in a strong country where most workers are not unionized, but the rich are and the working class has to pay for the wealthy’s expenses, this time in the form of tariffs those who have the business of production can reduce the local market’s cost, but they will not instead, they will jack up their prices because we live in a free society where the lower order has little influence to demand better pay
There will be demonstrations against hard times, the strikers will be vilified as enemies of freedom, thrown into jail on fake charges, and called...

The Love Poems to all the Unreceived Valentines
She told me she was never happy.
As I made her laugh.
And,
She said that she felt alone.
Whenever she talked to me.
And,
Maybe I don't pick on signs.
But, I wonder if it coulda been something good.
If I had just said hello.
Maybe made her laugh.
I don't really know.
I'm relatively oblivious to the things.
Going on around me.
I don't know the difference.
Between one mystifying display of emotion.
From the other.
But shouldn't being happy when.
Mostly you're miserable...
As I made her laugh.

A long forgotten place
Beyond the forest
A library long forgotten
Legends once told
Now each spine rotten
I walked the empty place
The dust settled on shelves
Candle in hand against the dark
Into the scrolls I delve
The light flickered against the wall
Up above the ceiling marked with paint
I had to climb the up high to see it clearly
Golden leaf along the trim to mark a saint
Hidden in a place long sealed away
A supposed hero sleeps
Death and decay can only be seen
Angels and the world weeps
In those pages they...

the charade
The Charade
A wealthy man dressed up as a poor guy walked into a bank to see the employees' reaction naturally it was predictable, that the rich man found it upsetting and gave us a lecture that everyone is equal
If the poor guy had a twenty-dollar bill in his pocket if that was true the last thing he would do was go into a bank, the likelihood is he would buy a burger, with chips and drink a few beers, feeling good
When a wealthy person pretends to be poor To put himself as a good guy, he knows nothing about poverty; he can go back to being rich again and the poor...

I wanna live
I wanna live
My life to the fullest
Father
I want to try to make
Some more new friends
Because Father I have
Very little friends in
My life
Also I have to look
After myself
Father I have no problem
Looking after myself
I do it every single day
I look also after my health
Every single day
And I go to bed early
Every single night
So that I get
A proper night sleep
My life to the fullest
Father

All.

Life's been cruel to me so far
If I could catch a falling star
I wouldn't wash away my scars
I'd piece together all the shards
Of broken glass
Shattered years past
Filthy memories left unbathed
But no one walks away unscathed
Long ago I got the point
Aching bones and creaking joints
Any comfort is a privilege
Afforded only by indifference
I see the light
Can't close the distance
Sprinting toward sweet deliverance
Long after my feet are blistered
Where most would yield,...

Foi Deus
Foi Deus
That made us
With his holy hands
Many years ago
Foi Deus
That placed us here
On earth to live
For a long time
We just love to live
On earth
Meu Deus
Also you have the power
In your hands to heal the sick
Yes the sick people
Have been calling for you
Please go and heal them
Because you have the power to heal
I am sure
Meu Deus
The sick is always praying for you
Every single night
Before they go to sleep
Yes they sleep all through the night
Without waking up
And they...

Sing.
Me.
A melody.
And make it.
Out of tune.

Been Here Before
I rode in on a dream
Among the snow and glitter
Saw my mother dressed in leather
With holsters and guns
Younger then me
On a horse with a smile
Hair all curled up like she does
Always waiting on me
I can smell the rain
The falling current of time
Every tightening yet never hurried
Along this mountainside
There she goes
Forward into the storm
Building for some time it seems
Crowning these ridges
Never looking back
Mom just moves further ahead
A horn of fire in her satchel ...

"Don't need to mention the names....."
But ever notice those famous singers that been around forever.
They have been there since you were young and were maybe
forced to listen to them by an older sibling.
You have listened to them so long they seep into your head
and take root. So now when they are played on the old time
radio.. You enjoy the old tunes. Though you faintly seem
to remember when you were younger and not that big into it.
Like I told a friend once...."You know you're getting old
when you start understanding and appreciating Mellon camp." ...
