time flies and life swims by
truth walks in the light.
in the darkness crawl lies
murky minds meditate on material myths
manifesting multiple misconceptions
murdering and massacring more meaningful matters
mislabeling the martyrs as malevolent
mistaking the miscreants as moral motives
maliciously misleading man masking his maker
making mammon mans master
money mans measure
and mindless mammals mans mirror

Glory for Rations
There was an outpouring
Time used and not spent
down slots
Of old machines
Where the jackpot was kept
Within the cage
Rolling... it rolled
By vision not not
not fear
Did our fingers tremble
tremble tremble
From exhausted sinews
And the gaze over taped up spectacle
Was a vertical one
The vertical expanded
the horizontals' possibility
One of our own ...

Usury
I hear ambition serves us well
in the sad race for heaven's grace
or the cocky conquest of hell
whenever we face inner space,
or outer space, (when on the outs),
when we are all too very bold
having mastered all of our doubts
afore they return when we are old.
But by then we just may not care
since care is for the bold and young
and without a doubt none too fair
when justice is so rarely sprung
by those very same young and bold
who do not care, or even know,
of evil from the love of gold
or moolah by some...

Ah, how high i am taken !
When i read about Nature
And then, terribly shaken
To read a poem of self-torture
How desperate, then i feel !
To know you are barely twenty
But the joys of life you kill
While your blessings grow plenty
Shall you some day wake up and see
Your life's been vainly wasted
Between drugs, flesh and fake poetry
Finally, alas! nothing sweetly tasted
You have the power to break the walls

New Elemental Codes
We but skim the macrocosmic order
with scarce more than a libertine's embrace
of all microcosm as jail space
where only thought as nexus accorder
will bestow triage to that order list
as a judge does for the laws of man
suiting an order within order plan
whereby all nature loves a communist
and others who follow nature's command
and the need to control the selfish men
who legalized rapacity, again,
instead of honoring nature's demand
where neutrality is a carbon thing...
with cells for every petrodollar king!

The boastful will not admit it
but they fall from grace all the time
to show the obverse of sublime
with one more apoplectic fit,
most wisely seen from well afar
when they preach to the simping twit
of vanity mixed with YouTube grit
(or something even more bizarre)
to sell the rubes some shoes of gold
so they as well might be the king
of ersatz new instead of old,
or stock shares of some trending thing
which they can rule right away...
with Midas glitter hell to pay.

Henceforth Utopia
I beheld some wild ruination scenes;
sunsets streaming sideways in a storm cloud dream
beyond post apocalyptic smithereens
in shade length extreme.
Playgrounds forthwith were of offspring devoid
though the woodland leaves caught daylight's farewell gold
just as they would in a graveyard, destroyed,
as they did of old.
The frenzy of depredation had cooled
and now throve only the bramble thorn and weeds.
Gone was the order the groundskeeper ruled
with their green thumb deeds!
Street concrete by the...

Funny story. I was in a bar two years ago and some fresh out of college broker/trader type guys got off the train and sat down for a drink and they overheard me reciting a list of embarrassing moments in Cub’s history.
