but stop belittling what doesn't affect you
hating for its own sake
nobody's saying ya gotta date 'em
look to your personal environ

feed foul names & images into your mind
make you feel less than...
...or too much...

Straw House
Knock three times and blow your house down
Watching you scratch from atop the cloud
Open up and watch them all drown
I'm screaming without making a sound
All I wanted was a piece
All I needed was to hear
All I got was rot and disease
All you had was the fear
I'd find you out
Snap your fingers and my attention breaks
Demanding more than what it takes
Hold back the rage till my eyes leak
Slam the door and toss the key away
All I wanted was a ghost
All I needed was a hand
All I got was codependence ...

No one laughs
watching a homeless lady
agonize to cross the street
at a snail’s pace
except for a lone dude
in the park
He shifts his weight from the bench,
stands on both legs
and decides to use humor
to cover whatever triggered
the uncomfortable knot
curling its fist in his chest.
He makes a joke
about homelessness
and laughs.
Riddles the poor
lazy leeches sucking taxes
from the working class
and laughs.
My compassion uncoils itself
as an aching frond— ...

Snowflake of Hearts
On my forearm, right below the elbow,
A design that I've been planning,
A rebuke of each of you, blow, after blow,
For me, and everyone who's different, you've been banning.
A little snowflake made of hearts,
Soon-to-be inked in a gentle pale brown like a birthmark,
To represent the turning away of your hearts,
And the resilience I've always had towards y'alls remarks.
The bullying I faced on that afternoon, will stay with me to this day,
Not for the hurt, but because here I stand, and here I stay,
The cold never bothered me anyway.
A design that I've been planning,

Resistant decay
The consciousness of it.
It rolled all the way to the edge and stopped.
It's aroma smelt of decadent disclosure, resistant decay,
where once,was love.
First discovered in 1952,under the eyes of the military.
Arrogantly, deceptively,they took it from under his nose.
Hear the wrath of almighty Gods.
But don't worry,it concluded.
Nothing of yours,will be sought or bought,under the guise of a different name
Sacred words,lessons taught.
Will destroy,from inside out,
All the atrocious men.

Trapped on an Island Surrounded by Sharks
What is this cold, unbreaking rod?
That whips my back, does poke and prod
The eyes of man do leer and laud
While verbal assaults are met with applaud
A gentle soul, berated and stamped
Their joy is torn and turnt and tamped
And mind enclosed by grip and clamp
Crippled core becoming cramped
Hyenas howl and stones are cast
While wolves circle and rats amassed
The harrowed heard of helpless aghast
Finally succumbing to the thoughts that have passed
That whips my back, does poke and prod
The eyes of man do leer and laud
