The End is Nigh.
A dystopian future is at our door
Facts on Facebook checked no more
Open the sewer let the clowns speak
Lies and deceipt will reach a new peak.
Orwell was prescient with the Ministry of Truth.
Bradbury knew the temperature at which books burned.
And Huxley foresaw a society off their tits on Soma, subdued, placated and duped.
The genies of Zuckerberg,Musk,Trump and countless others cannot be put back in the bottle.
Disinformation is the new truth.

familial souvenirs for a past life
I want to shred your face
with my fingernails
I want you to hug me
and tell me you've always
loved me
and let all perceived sins
be forgiven
I want to forgive you
let the past float
into an ocean of new
where this blood
doesn't haunt us anymore
I want to take this pain
and shove it through your chest
and pretend like you feel

Close your eyes on this chapter

until you need an easy villain

"I'm sorry"
falls from your lips like a waterfall,
crashing over me and filling up my lungs.
So many things rushing through me all at once.
I can't breathe.
I can't speak.
This anger makes me feel weak.
You make promises that you just can't keep.
I feel alone because you only give the bare minimum to me.
Helpless as pieces of my heart break away like rocks.
I've been loving you,
but at what cost?

Preferring The Horn
The pauper porpoise poet
Was a very poor porpoise indeed
As she spent all of her lobster money
On copious ammounts of mead
She read her poems at open mics
But her words were all at sea
Apart from one fine night, she got it right
And flipped her flippers with glee!
Some thought she was a dolphin
Which would really piss her off
And one even called her "Flipper"
She told him to foff!
Yet she found him quite attractive
He was a swordfish, well endowed
And when she saw how 'sharp' he was
Their marriage was avowed ...

Gatecrashed
I decided one fine day
To visit the faraway land of fae
I'd planned to go their on my own
My venture into this twilight zone
As a treat, instead of camping
I affoeded myself the luxury of glamping
I told of my plan with friends
And that's where i should of let it end
Then one suggested one misty day
Could they join me in the land of fae
I agreed it would perhaps be better, than alone
As we planned to enter the twilight zone
Then this person said would it be okay to bring a friend
So i adjusted the cost, equally to spend ...
