"The Sea's Silent Symphony"
The sun, a molten gold coin, shimmered on the surface of the Coral Triangle, a vast, pulsating heart of the ocean. Spring’s gentle warmth had coaxed a symphony of life from the depths. Coral polyps, tiny architects of the sea, unfurled their delicate tentacles, capturing the sun-kissed plankton that drifted on the currents. Clownfish, their vibrant orange stripes flashing like jewels, darted amongst the anemones, their symbiotic dance a testament to the intricate balance of this underwater Eden.

~of a 2 random flashed paradisiacal poetic symbolisms.. of an otherwise prosaic day
1.
the messy mosquito window mesh
loaded with immortally chamfering
dusts over their each tiny squaring in
portals.. today had a surprise guest
not just knocking its door .. but falling
vertically flat & stuck..in a 90 degree
‘sashtanga namaskaram’ over the
waiting portal doors.. its iridescence
was a killer nacreous shine.. though
a dorsal beauty, away from my direct
visions.. only
her horrific ventral side.. of a boggy
brown muddiness.. in a nauseating
thoraxo-abdominal...

~selkie:: in the sempiternal inner calling
The one thing which we seek with insatiable desire is to forget ourselves, … to lose our sempiternal memory, and to do something without knowing how or why….” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
she
has appeared
for me ..
watching me
following me ..
an intervention
decodes me this
now…
will i be able to
sense her presence ..
she had risen for me
from the deep seas
.. in her enchanted seal
form .. her dense shiny skin ...

Conjugating
Just past the Bank of America
and the ski shop (odd in Phoenix)
there's a place that kills pets
and charges you thousands of dollars to do it.
They won't kill your pet right away.
First they'll do what they can
Exams
X-rays
Even clipping your cat's nails
because she hates having that done
but now that's she's half dead
she can tolerate it.
You drove her there
in rush hour traffic
crying the whole way
Why did you stay after school to grade papers?
Why did you stop at Safeway after that? ...

The Dreaded Question
The Swedish man knew me as a dog lover
though I happily took over the job of feeding the stray kitties
gathered by his country house door every evening
But yeah,
dogs.
I loved my beagle, Brandy Joy
and Swedish man's Rottweiler, Daisy
and his friends' dogs
and my friends' dogs
and strangers' dogs
and dogs on TV
and the dog I met once
who had a perfect German shepherd head
on a corgi body.
The only dog I can think of,
that I couldn't quite bring myself to love,
was a friend's...

An Atheist's Scripture - Unlikely Church #4
Let us seek to understand our existence in the realm of the "already named," a world that is both vast in its cosmic indifference and intimate in its human narratives.
We are mere animals whose fate is sealed in the nature of our mortality. Our ultimate end is known to us all. Death awaits each of us without prejudice or pause. In this recognition, we must face the stark truth that we can gain no knowledge of absolute goodness during our fleeting moments under the sun. Such absolutes are constructs of the mind that seeks certainty in an indifferent universe.

Blue Bulls
My bull keeps getting out.
When I was a child my grandmother would always recite the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle..but come on, how could a cow jump over the moon?
Well, I've seen it with my own eyes I'm telling ya!
For the last two months our bull Duke has been getting out somehow, we patch and repair spots we think he's using, only for him to be back in our front yard again come morning. So yesterday, frustrated with his escape artists expertise, I hopped on the four wheeler and started to chase him, cause usually a cow will go back the way he came, then I could know...

The Clotilda (A Day in the Swamp)
When the darkness of my night
provides no shelter from my storms,
I'll use my sunshine to spend a day in the swamp,
to wash my blues away clear to the ocean.
I'll make ripples in the water
on a borrowed boat
running the banks and
exploring the feeder creeks,
while turtles dive from their logs and
alligators smile as they slide into the murky water.
But you'll never see the Clotilda,
not even at low tide
I'll watch tiny orchids bloom,
talk to the cypress trees,
listen to...

A Not So Typical Morning In The South
My day starts off as usual. Im a creature of habit so, I take the same side road that I take every day on my way to work. It may not be the most direct way, but theres rarely any cars on this road so I get to open it up a bit. Ill take 10 mins out of my way to keep moving at a quicker pace than a more direct route where I have to move slower 10 times out of 10.
I come to a part where the road curves around to the right and just as I come out of the bend something catches my eye in the road. What the fuck is that? Its trotting towards my car. I hit the brakes firmly to slow...
