Hidden Memories The Regress
my tapestry of hidden memories
rise within me bringing back to memory past lives
a place of visions
a place where I can breathe
I regress into nothingness
to the void before time existed
like a space mermaid, I swim
echoing high and low seeking the others
swimming so deep into the abyss that I tire
I cover myself with the dark and anchor in to rest
waking from startling visions of what is to be
first, I was awake and aware I was
using sonar-like pings
I send them out on the waves in space
then wait to...

They've Landed -- Don't Panic
At the bottom of the garden
gleams a ship from outer space
They've come back
to keep us company
to save the human race
With technology that's smarter
they've abolished wars and greed
There's no money on their planet
and everything is free
The weather gets controlled
so the skies are always blue
No-one catches colds
and sneezing is taboo
They don't eat fish or meat
your dinner's just a pill
you take one every day
but two can make you ill
Having sex
is rather...

are we turning right?
Are we turning right?
After the war in Norway, the mood tended to be communist
something had to be done, and the Marshall was born
"on the bags was printed "a gift from the American People!"
When someone at the farm was ill, it was
normal to wait for
a few days to see if the affected got any better
If an elderly died and it was winter, it was customary to wait
a month or two before reporting the loss
the doctor came in his Volvo, a dignified man spoke to as Herr Doctor,
knew all the tricks in the book and was on...

Klingon Legends: The Forgotten Gods of Karklon Gamma
- Klingon Legends: The Forgotten Gods of Karklon Gamma -
The planet named, in the language of Federation Standard, as Karklon Gamma... was considered to be a forbidden world for any star ship to approach... it was at the outermost fringes of the neutral zone that was set up between the worlds of the Federation and those of the Klingon Empire. It was owned by the Klingon Empire, technically, and was protected by the Imperial Klingon Defense Forces since as far off and back into history as anyone could remember. the singer
The singer
Elvis was not dead he had been up the mountain
living on berries, playing hibernating with bears
and had become a vegan.
Elvis was now thin, his suit hanging like a haversack
in a ranch of starving horses
his suede shoes were too big, and his golden lame suit
hung loosely on his emaciated body.
Elvis decided to have a farewell concert and his voice
was the same Colonel Parker didn't think it was smart
Young people wanted to see other young people,
not an elderly gent, who could sing like Elvis.
Few people showed up...

The Mask Of Lies
The Fragile Flesh Of Elegance
From the deep empty souls
That need much to be filled
Delusions of the grandeur
Push their sickness to be spilled
Some of them build castles
Of princess in fairy realms
Stories full of chaotic hustle
Dreams of acting in real films
They conceive a maze of riddles
Where they lie like wise sphinx
With poetic words, love to twiddle
Bewildered by their own ego, methinks.!
But, the future will surely spark
When the tricks will be revealed
And those...

two people and a dream
Two people and a dream
It is easy to start a war, send up a rocket, and get one in return and spiteful words lead to hatred of the sort
the consumes the soul and reason disappears in the fog
of odium that can only end in the slaughter of a nation
The military invasion of Gaza began with righteous anger and a thirst for revenge, but now as vengeance
has been sated it is time to end this if it is not too late
the political leader of the invading nation is tired, he knows he was overreaching himself to his enemies at home's delight, his face drawn and...

Astral Hopping
Love astray on the astral plane
slings star daggers my way
assaulting all things in their wake
Determining fate...
The facts are delirious
just delusions of a waking mind
Its a rigged game...
Predestined to ache
I am a tortured soul
Singing to the universes
hallelujah brothers and sisters
welcome to Earth
Constellations of doubt keep me from rising
I get only so far in the atmosphere
before I'm grounded again
Two, three, four
abort, abort, abort
mission to mars cancelled ...

The Facebook Voyeur
The Facebook Voyeur
By Michael McManus
He lingers on Facebook's digital street,
A voyeur, silent, in his quiet seat,
No posts to share, no words to convey,
He watches from shadows, night and day.
Invisible, he scrolls through each friend's life,
A silent spectator, free from strife,
He learns their stories, their joys, and despair,
A Facebook voyeur, no content to share.

The Nose-hair Fashionista.
Nose-hair Fashionista
By Michael McManus
In the mirror I spy a sight, long nose-hairs, dear, oh my!
They dance and sway with every breath as I let out a sigh,
For some they're signs of aging's grace, a badge of years gone by,
But I can't help but wish they’d trim and not let them reach the sky.
Though age is just a number, they say, it's hard to not feel shy,
Long nose-hairs whisper tales of time, as they reach down, far too high,
And as they gather dust and muck, I can't help but wonder why
They don't snip them, clip them,...
