During that dead silent morning
We weren't informed, there was no warning
The initial revelation
Of an alien invasion
Created a stir in the nation
Threatening confrontation
No escape, from any location
People ailing from starvation
Beings exploit our creation
Resulting in death, or some mutation
Aliens performing amputations
Everywhere lies excessive devastation
Suicidal conformation
Someone save us from salvation

I'm trying to be a human
I'm not from earth
I was beamed in from a Z world
Fell to earth like Bowie
Teen years were torture
Got better after that
Drank 2 Tom Collins Thursday night
Could be a convert
Mostly I suck booze down straight
Tom Collins is sweet
Almost a girl drink
Or some country club shit
I have a square head
A box head to be exact
My sister is a normal American
I'm an experiment
Test tube baby gone astray
I like sex .... maybe too much
I was beamed in from a Z world

channeling the universes I see a thousand eyes staring at me
drinking in my humanity
sharing observations and personal judgements
we are not alone other galaxies are weighing in
using artificial intelligence to safely introduce themselves
preparing our minds to meet
they have recorded existence here and are a part of it
they want us to be aware
full of beautiful traditions and vastly intelligent
some of us share DNA with them
they have always been with us
we were sent here to learn
humanity is not...

ponder the meaning
of multicolored lights
and "Peace on Earth
Goodwill to men"

vs daily
How the majority
of the planet
lays down its arms
to string strands
from tree & rooftop
to outlet power,
but not for understanding
or Love
Why consumers
spend and pretend
regret won't swallow
the budget whole
in the year to come
All because we fear
the unknown: ...

The Man Trap
Huzzahs for 'ol Commander Spock
who no doubt had a logical cock
and plied the instrument with precision
into Uhuru's babe division...
after a round of pitching woo
and a Vulcan game of chess or two.
But once when she was rather bored
at being by him once more ignored...
she asked of Vulcan moonlit nights...
and he said..."Vulcan has no moon"...
to which she said..."I'm not surprised"...
which raised his eyebrow to new heights
wherein he pondered romantic plights...

My headlights only cover so much ahead
The 58 is empty, hot, and damn dark
When something crossed in front of me as I sped
It was a shadowy figure like that some kind of animal
But it moved so quickly I thought it was imagining things
“What the hell was that?” both my son and I said out loud
While my other son next to me missed what was happening
It was too big to be a coyote and too small to be a horse
Of course I thought my mind was playing tricks on me

From the deep empty souls
That need much to be filled
Delusions of the grandeur
Push their sickness to be spilled
Some of them build castles
Of princess in fairy realms
Stories full of chaotic hustle
