Poems about Writer's Block
#WritersBlock
Poems about writer's block, when a poet or author struggles to write, sufferers from creative shutdown, or lacks inspiration. Writer's block can be extremely frustrating, but can itself provide the inspiration to write.
Swam dollabis naga.
It doesn't even come to chasco
that I messed up the xarufa.
I'm struck by the leaves of the leaves
that are dying.
I axuncall your frixola
meidelado meidetraz.
Ensim peroca in the corner.
Shupilambas on the borders.
Gozobo casabertas.
I lost my clitobia.
Ensim leitado debreshecas
put the goalposts.
Raz paras verallas
ten tangled tachanca.
Spit lubrifins.
A frinasca of funfrunnas frengolem.

MY FREE LINE'S LIFETIME, PRECARIOUS, HIGH WIRE ACT (somewhere unknown in time; Galveston Island, Texas)
skip fact
let go
set free release
all those old archaic
straight line modes
of more self limited
stream of consciousness thoughts
now long ago let go of
released set free
modes and ways of habitual
straight line thinking
into this much better
more highly evolved mode
of free line thoughts and thinking
so break free of
and out from all
self limiting restrictions
of your mind
let it snake and flow
mindfully thoughtfully
thoughtlessly mindlessly
then either way...

I'mma Bounce Back And Forth For A While
I tried to rhyme like my poetry's real,
but there is woe in me still
and a flow that
foes hope they can steal,
like hubcaps, spokes and wheels
My darkness concealed
for two or three spiels,
now I'm back to the healing,
and typical dribble,
bouncing hopes to find some despicable middle
of rhyming and drivel
that a sad heart produces
but there is woe in me still
and a flow that

A feature of time
I have been occupied by silence. Yes! She and I have become bonded.
You see, with aging, one comes upon realization: most songs were needlessly produced and events fulfil more, when soulfully experienced as opposed to romanticized in notary, if you get my meaning!
No, my dear reader. I have not encountered the dreadful black veil. Rather, my canvas lay bare, mostly because; best of poetry like aged whiskey, should be preserved in their original form.

Too Much of Nothing
I knew late last night I was a brilliant poet,
magical words bled into one fine masterpiece
and when I awoke, elated to this beautiful morning,
I found each paper as void of a poem as me.

Transient Inspiration
It comes in waves,
this poetry that raves.
I jotted a piece of feeling
on a notepad for healing.
I prefer a pencil over a pen,
not for if I cry, for when.
So, when I blink,
the tears don't stain the ink.
this poetry that raves.
I jotted a piece of feeling
on a notepad for healing.
I prefer a pencil over a pen,
not for if I cry, for when.
So, when I blink,
the tears don't stain the ink.

His Only Regret
The poem unwritten
Still in his head
Words left silent
Thoughts left for dead
Not just his poem
His whole expression
Lost in the calm
of his innermost passion
Sitting in the dark
corners of his mind
is the home of his mark
he'll never leave behind
When the life if a poet
comes to an end
His only regret
The poem unwritten

THE POEM UNWRITTEN
the poem
unwritten
again
and again,
the empty page,
a smattering
of disconnected
thoughts,
poetic fakery,
stupid word play
unnamed
distractions
porn
that girl's big ass
big tits
thick thighs
the way she shakes it
takes it
and too much wine
again
and the way she left
and took the kids,
the car
and the goddamn bills piling
overdue
relentless
mundane
work-a-day
bullshit
grinding
the heart to
wordless
mush,
squeezing the
joy...

Writing Poetry
I sit completely naked,
and this usually occurs
in the dead of night.
I turn off the lights,
and with the illumination of the candle,
I think I can handle
feeding the starving creativity
that needs to ingest letters
so it can regurgitate words,
preferably those not often heard.
Warding off writer’s block or not,
I gawk at the blank page.
Rage nestles next to my reasoning.
I try seasoning the letters
and stir the pot; it is naught.
I do not know where to begin.
My patience is running thin, ...

The poem unwritten
are the kisses we missed
when fear
meets pen and paper
ink unspilled
tongue untwisted
as mind retracts in doubt
Overthinking
over-processing
brain strain exercise
Hands we couldn't hold
playing this game
of love-rhyme-romance
Prospecting
your thoughts and mine
which words...

unrepentant wisdom
a rhymed, mirrored octet with a coda
the
poem
unwritten,
battling darkness,
languishing for light,
unrepentant w i s d o m
that could heal a broken world!
let its lyrics fill the pages
of inconsequential sages;
let its eloquence unfold
in the verseless kingdom
of this sultry night.
for the starkness
full smitten,
solemn,
free
the
poem
unwritten.

On the Nose: "One must imagine Sisyphus happy."
As I scratch away at the
innards of a
sickening shock yellow
spiral-bound notebook on my
tiny desk in the
corner
of a small bedroom,
a gnat buzzes about the bulb of an incandescent
lamp.
An incessant search for a
new
angle
from which to attack the
Same
light.
