My Eyes Still Search for Yours
memories feathered at the edges
I chase your shadow as you tease
"too slow!" (and I already know)
dry leaves touched by a gentle breeze
I let myself rest and fall into your empty
wading through in search of your depth
swimming in circles, I let your waves carry me.
I sunk into your shallow as it’s all that was left.
you are a quiet chaos that I invite
a whisper in my ear when I'm trying to sleep
the jolt awake before I hit the pavement
but I always knew that you were just a dream

No Longer A Man or All Seasons
Spring will never again be sprung
It’s like it’s trying to breathe with only one lung
Strangely, birdsong is differently strange
Like a nails down a chalkboard kinda range
Lambs apparently no energy to bink
I have no inclinations to try to think
Normally colourful spring flowers, are grey
Nothing seems awesome, nothing so gay
The death that was winter continues as spring
I have nothing to write, nothing to sing
The daffodils not yellow, the hue of coal
Dead leaves not enough to cover my dead soul
...

be that true or not we are still married

if a man is not of his word what is he
when your connection has been severed

under oaken arch ways

like warm apple pie cooling on a window

This is how carpe died
wings cut,
kicked to the ground
free falling, no back up shoot
Fool, to think the moon could be held
they say, a million shooting stars
illuminated the sky
they still sing, how the wolves of the world howld
on that cold November eve
plummeting through dispares
hallowed embrace
sinking, deeper into darkness
