At The Ballet
Connie was only six when she was discovered gazing at a dead rat by Madame Jenny Taylor
Madame once assoluta at the Ivaninski's, informed the Linguses that the child was to be her pupil
Long years of study began in her ballet school above a row of shops
Connie first came before the public as a peasant girl in Giselle, ou Les Wilis, devised by Madame to display her students abilities
Her life was rather dull and monotonous
She became aware of what real ballet was when Madame took her to one of Anya Neeze innumerable farewell performances
Eventually she was allowed...

What comes up, must come down
During a 1960 KKK initiation ritual in the deep south, Eaton Beaver fired several shots into the air. Perhaps not fully grasping the concept of gravity, he never considered that what goes up must come down. The descending bullet struck fellow Klansman Harry Azcrac in the head, wounding him critically.

A naughty girl
Once upon a time a little girl was going to take her doll for a walk when there she was, meeting two nice little birds
She dropped them a pretty little bow and said to them,
"Good afternoon, little birds, will you play with me?"
"I have some lovely candy in my little bag"
"I'll give you some"
One of the birds said, "I have no objection"
and the other said, "Neither do I"
They enjoyed themselves very much until it was nearly evening
Then the little birds said, "We want to go away now"
But...

Nine lives for a dog?
Andy Felthersnatch's dog burst into flames when it peed on a live wire. Felthersnatch later told the press, "There was an almighty explosion and the whole street lit up. I turned around and my dog was on fire." Power was off for five hours that day in a small town 10 miles north of Glens Falls, New York. Against all odds, the dog survived.

One night at the bar
A man minding his own business is sitting in a bar.
Enjoying some downtime after a hard days work.
Sometime later, a drunken, loud, brash man comes stumbling in.
He's causing a raucous all around him.
He sits his ass down right near the quiet man.
This drunk stunk of sweat and booze.
The drunk fuck turned to the quiet man and said, "What's your issue? Why do you look like that? Why do you look troubled?"
The quiet man said, "No issue, just minding my own business".
The drunk didn't like that answer and continued...

Seymour Butts lived quietly at home with his mother in Nebraska. The 22 year old's social circle consisted mostly of friends with whom he visited daily via webcam on the internet. While drinking vodka and smoking pot one evening in 2002, his chat room buddies encouraged him to keep popping tranquilizers and other pills he had handy. Butt''s mother Shelly found him the next afternoon. She didn't notice anything out of the ordinary and spent the previous evening doing crossword puzzles in the next room.

The Ghastly Baby
Once up on a time there was a baby
Most babies are cute but this one was out-and-out ugly
The baby wasn’t morbidly obese
It was totally swollen and lumpy
One of it’s feet had 3 toes
One of its hands had 7 fingers
It’s hands were two right ones
It’s head looked oblong and distorted
Dark rings were underneath it’s beady eyes
Possibly because it never slept
It was consumed by misery
Which in this case was perfectly acceptable
A few noises came out of its mouth
Both were revolting
One...
