A loving couple
After an intense game of Chutes & Ladders, Andrea hailed victorious over Paul
As everyone knows, Paul is a huge sore loser
He also had one to many drinks that evening
Andrea decided to showboat a bit
The showboating was in Paul's face
He didn't like this one bit
He told Andrea to back off
She wouldn't listen
With an unexpected scream, Paul slugged her twice in the mouth, knocking a tooth out
He then said, "See, you don't need that dentist visit after all. I helped you out."
Andrea said crying and upset, "That...

Father and his son, the wimp
The boy turned fifteen. His father bought him a shotgun. He taught his son how to load, clean and shoot the gun. He would say, "Kid you've got to stand up for yourself, always." He would make the boy shoot round after round, his shoulder would ache. He would rather read comics, go on his phone, and jerk off like any normal teenager. He didn't like going to the rifle range with his father. The place gave him the creeps.
One Saturday morning in June, his father said, "Get your rifle and get in the car, MOVE IT!" He did what he was told. He sat in the front seat...

Attention K-Mart Shoppers
Jennifer, who would ever think that your trail would end at K-Mart
Did anyone tell you?
If you were alive right now
I mean if your brains hadn't been blown out of your skull with that shotgun you put to it
Would you have believed you would have done such a thing?
Jennifer, you didn't see what I saw
Oh girl,
Some kid had a hunk of your brains in a cheeseburger wrapper and was showing it to people
I went to the place where you shot yourself
You know the place I'm talking about
You were there about 26 hours before me
Jennifer, I searched...

A Beautiful Sight
I looked out my window last night
On the ledge above me I looked up and a pair of shoe tips were balancing precariously on the edge
I hear a voice, a man's voice:
"Sara, are you listening to me you goddamned whore!? Sara, you bitch, I'm gonna do it this time!"
A man falls past my window and lands with a horrifying thud onto the sidewalk
There's a knock at my door
I turn from the window
I walk to the door and open it
It's Sara
She's smiling

The Poison Bride
When the famous poetess passed out in her mashed potatoes on Christmas Eve, 1978, her husband rolled his eyes and her two children carried on glumly chewing. It was a semi-regular performance, the passing out act. George wondered how he'd ended up marrying the silly bitch.
Once on a literary tour, they'd been besieged by girls who seemed to regard him with envy for having such unfettered access to their mentally unstable idol. He'd happily switch places with any of them, or the middle-aged sad-sack men who worried at her ankles at luncheons. Two years ago, she'd had a brief...

The Artist
Another Short Horror Story
“The Artist”
by
RCRayJr
The blade lacerated her throat
and blood pours out..
The scream ends in a saturated gargle. Her brown eyes rolled back in her head. Breath leaving her I clinched her blonde hair from behind.
Her weight in my arms under the starlight.
The smell of alcohol and tobacco permeates the damp, cold air.
Into the shadows she’s dragged.
When in the place I chose, I threw her body to the ground. I crouched over her in the blackness of the night. Concealed by dense vegetation behind a...

The Bloodied Dandy
The hotel had been running since the Middle Ages and did a roaring trade in kitsch tours for people wanting to experience a little of the horror of murders that had happened there. Although the proprietors were innocent (tour guides employed by the hotel were at pains to emphasise) there was a conspiracy of highwaymen, as the 18th became the 19th century, to lure travellers and then kill and rob them in their rooms. One young Pink of the Ton (meaning a fashionable young man) was lured by the promise of elopement with a woman with whom he thought he had been in correspondence.

Move on, leave the scene
She snickered in my face
I told her all the things that I felt and she laughed me right out the door
I can still hear her laughing at me
Even when I'm alone, I can hear her cackling like a witch
I want to get out
Get in my car at night and drive an endless road to somewhere but nowhere
Affection is a disease
Don't succumb to it, it will destroy you!
It's for weak fools
I've moved on

A husband & wife living in Philadelphia had been married for over 25 years. Beer & Murder
During the 2000's a severe winter storm kept temperatures in the 20's and thousands of homes in Southern Texas, without power for several days. It was perhaps a combination of cabin fever and alcohol that led one woman to shoot her 71 year old husband to death in the kitchen of their home. He gave her a can of warm beer. It had occurred to neither one of them to chill a six-pack on the back porch!

Unstable
The board review came to a decision
They found him sane
One doctor felt otherwise
The doctor knew that he fooled the board and staff
The doctor pleaded with the medical board
They saw nothing wrong
The ex girlfriend was always afraid of him
He went psycho on her a few times
For no apparent reason
She would have liked to do normal things couples would do
Instead, she had to worry when something so small and minute would agitate him
He didn't like that she was talking to her brother
He thought her & her brother were secretly in...
