Today
I did a silly thing
I wasn't sure
But the only answer
I could come up with
Was silly
But then i considered
Whether silly
Was a silly answer
And as it turned out
My silly answer
Was silly
Which ironically
On the surface of things
Was the right answer
So me vying for silly
Wasn't silly
Although at the same time
It was
Don't you just love

Bowline Knots
She was complex
As though she was
Tied by an imaginary
Twine of string
All knotted ,
And platted tight
From her two inch wedge heels
To her floaty raven hair
She was beguiling
She attracted attention
Where ever she roamed
But she was always so restrained
Almost waiting, nonchalantly
For some catastrophes
You could see a hint of
Pain etched in her
Wide hazel eyes ,
That held her upright
And to uptight
Fastened with invisible
Bowline knots that only
She could see from...

Weightless
When you came home from work,
I saw the stress of your world
Sinking into each step.
Then my eyes would meet yours
And every foot closer,
The weight would get softer,
Lighter,
Brighter.
I’d feel nails scrape my scalp,
A whisper of hairs on my neck,

Especially family...
Acting like everything is
Kosher

Frolicking around

I write to express
I will not try to impress
I want to feel the best
I like to focus on my rest
So I have enough energy to test
Mental clarity with a zest
I'm done feeling depressed
For health i'd like to suggest
If it eases the pain in my chest
Fear is just a guest
For what I do not like to
Consistently ingest
Emotions become compressed
Oh how I must confess
The demons I possess
Is something that needs
To be addressed
For them I would like
To detest
What we all need is a
Magical celeste

Ra! Ra! Siss Boom Awe!
Yes, I know it's ra ra siss boom bah.
awe is more appropriate, I postulate
it better captures the emotions and thrill of fireworks exploding,
transforming the night sky into a kaleidoscope of brilliant colors.
The only phrase I know that contains a single "bah" is bah humbug
In no way does that Scroogian saying
Illustrate elation or even tepid excitement
It’s an anti-firework, a dud
Okay, done and dusted
I didn’t mean this to be
a dissection of an old fashioned
cheerleading spiel
I simply want you to know ...
