With a wink and a nod
she conjures delight.

ABRACADABRA
Abracadabra,
Hocus-pocus,
Vanish into thin air and
out of my focus.
You were the cause of all
of my troubles,
dissappear now and
on the double.
I'm no sorrocer but
one, two, three,
Just a wave of my wand, and
you will no longer Be,
VANQUISH, DEMOLISH and
GO FAR AWAY,
MY WORRIES, MY TROUBLES
will not see
the LIGHT OF DAY!!!!

Beer and Cake for Betty
Her ferocity
has been
the shield
for her fragility
My girl, Betty
Her talent oozes
drips right
off the page
as she applies
her makeup
to cover her
heart bruises
her body and words
weapons of destruction
sisters in solidarity
in this war of
love, lust and trust
some days it feels like
the end of us
but carry on
we must
The battlefield
strewn with bodies
battered and bloodied
her white flag torched
My girl, Betty
heart in tact
defeat...
has been

Laced with joy, sorrow and pain
her words
the map of an adventurous soul
take us to destinations
unknown
And I, my heart
travel weary and worn
find solace
in her ability
to confess
while professing
she will not
reveal all
leaving just a little
for us to wonder
if her stories are real
or just a tale
that's tall
I often wait
for her next trip
For the words
that will
take my mind
places exotic
and poetic
I long
to be wherever

On wings of gossamer, light and free,
a butterfly dances, wild and carefree.
Yet on its fragile, silken span,
a drop of blood, a crimson plan.
A delicate bead, so stark, so bright,
against the wings, a haunting sight.
In the garden’s hush,
