Today, like any other day, I'm running around in circles, thinking of you.
I'm hesitant to verbalise it out loud, fearing what others might say or do.
It makes no sense, I know, to yearn for someone long gone.
You vanished without saying a word, leaving me with just this empty dawn.
You took a piece of me, the part that loved you best,
The part that cherished every moment, every laugh, every rest.
I've tried to fill the void, but nothing seems to fit.
The ache within me grows, a constant gnawing pit.

Today, I Speak Me
When I emerged from the cocoon I had been sheltered in the majority of my life, nobody in my life spoke my language. I was multilingual in suffering but I might as well have been mute. I spun like a whirling dervish trying to get people to understand me. Today, I speak me. For those who don’t comprehend, I don’t translate anymore, so good fucking luck. You had your chance.

has been carefully revised
There wasn't any major cause
just two lost souls
heading in different directions
You owed it to yourself
to find "your" happy
and the easiest way to know
was to extricate yourself
from the internal confusion
I was the sacrifice
and it certainly hurt like hell
being of the mind that I was in this with you
for the long haul
But connections have no guarantees
and I became slowly redacted from your history
