The Great Detective
Hercules Poirot stood alone
the lovers he had saved from the gallows
had departed.
He had tears in the corners of his eyes
and said: I, Hercules Poirot, the most famous detective in the world
I cannot understand the nature of love.
I concur.
My wife and I have been together for twenty years.
I love her dearly; she does not care about my writing; it might
upset people.
Her female logic makes me knotted in despair, but what can I do?
We have grown old together, and my nightmare is to live longer than her. ...

I succumb
I succumb to my feelings that control my thoughts.
My thoughts race and my heart pounds, this feeling I cannot control as I run around.
Each moment and each breath are consumed with torture, I am under arrest.
This love that aches it pounds in my chest.
It grows in my mind like an uncontrolled vine.
Creeping slowly until it’s fully intertwined.
There’s no turning back the fate is not mine but for the love I feel it’s truly divine.
Not returned,Never undermined, love is hard and love is Blind. ...
