Venus rages brightly tonight
Venus rages brightly tonight
But the night is thick with shame.
It doesn't cool my round thoughts
Nor hold my soul to the flame.
Some things just can't be said;
Neither can they be helped.
These things should be weathered -
And through it all - be felt.
Pieces of me - I try to collect
Before they can fall away
And I guard them - resolute
That something of those remain.

IT'S OKAY TO ADMIT IT
The Bard of Avon in Hamlet has
Polonius saying to his son, Laertes:
"This above all else: to thine own self
be true. And it must follow as the night
the day. Thou canst not then
be false to any man."
THIS
is a message for YOU my loved,
sought, and coy one. It's okay to
admit that you hunger and desire to
taste the pleasures that dare to transgress
the halls of your humanity and create
a falsehood that resists and keeps
YOU locked in a cage of denial.
ADMIT
what your racing heart and locked up ...

Dear J and every other boy
You broke me. It's your fault I don't want to find love, and I don't care if you wanna take responsibility for it.
Because personally, I've moved on. Not completely. Not in the way my body stings from being underloved and undertouched.
But in the sense, that you can't really break me. Because I'm always thriving.
And no one can touch me now.
I'm in God's hands, full of pure light that will win even if I die.

If I were to put it candidly, you have everything I’ve ever wanted.
You are the better half. The holy counterpart to my hell, introducing hail unto my brimstone.

Sharp shank to my rib every time I see your face and I minimize my half smile.
