A Beach in Cascais
On the beach of Cascais
Human seals, jam-packed
Soaking up the sun.
Female seals
are eying each other.
Who has the best tan?
Then they all go home
To dark shuttered flats
The fear of being seen
At home by prying eyes
sits deep in the mind
Of the Portuguese.

Father’s Day
There’s a million things that we could say,
on this once-a-year Father’s Day,
for the dads who were there,
to support your choices and to care,
for the trophy dads at every sports event,
from the egg and spoon race to the bbq in the tent,
for the dads in heaven who we wish were here,
let’s give them an almighty cheer!
And let’s not forget the dads who are gone,
wether they’re down the street or if they’ve moved on,
for they gave us life and are still to be celebrated,
and even sperm donors are thanked for the life they created, ...
on this once-a-year Father’s Day,
for the dads who were there,

THE FATHER OF HORRORS
I can taste the agony
And it tastes like blood
I can taste the ecstasy
And it tastes like blood
Sacrifice everything that you are
The second coming of penance stares
Kneel before the father of horrors
And breathe new life into your nightmares
Scornful sacrilegious offerings
Paraded in the rear of the hearse
Given to the father of horrors
Take the blessing disguised as a curse
I said the dead grinded to a paste ingested and fed
To the lord abhored in graveyard leathers, adorned
With scisms of exorcism...
And it tastes like blood

Wake up fathers: its time to get up and and get your kids. Everything you did with the mother you have to deal with the consequences. Don't run from your problems and be another statistical dead beat baby daddy. Instead of fighting and going against the mother how about y'all comes together for y'all seed. A Brief History of Me and My Father
6 years old
we are playing outside
on the little concrete patch
I'm in the goal
you're in my heart
we laugh so hard
until the ball hits me in the face
and I start to cry
12 years old
I feel like a disappointment
your actions confirm this
now I don't play rough anymore
the woman I am to become
scares you
and you
back away slowly
23 years old
I am no longer a kid
no longer a defiant teenage girl
but I am falling in love
with the woman I've become

UNDER THE GREEN CORN MOON
The Lake Sturgeon surface
The blueberry fruit ripens
When the August full moon
Is at its perigee
Beneath the Green Corn Moon
On one warm summer’s night
In my young childhood life
My father awoke me
Softly saying as he carried me
Before the tall crisp prairie
“Come hear the corn grow
Under the full moon’s glow”
Like a bowl of cereal
Covered in cold milk
Topped with sweet sugar
The growing young corn spoke
“Snap…Crackle…and…Pop!”
Choirs of crickets and frogs
Joined growing pains’...

Cooking is not rocket science but would be cook has to
learn the basic after this he must discover why some
food doesn’t go well mixed with the wrong ingredients
The rudimentary is salt, pepper and butter and then
spices depending on the dish.
The food on the plate should look appetising but not
over-decorated, a cook should not aspire to be an artist
for that, he should go to an art school and paint Pretty pictures.
To put a bit of full-fat cream in some gravies

Father's Day 2018
What type of man do you consider to be a father?
He is the one who took the time to even bother
To stick around long after the climactic ejaculation
And remained so well after high school graduation
In the equation, he may not be the one who sired you
But he inspired you to always do what you're supposed to
A real stand up dude who knew how to show you genuine love
Maybe taught you how to ride a bike or bought your first glove
Above all else he's been there to help guide your every step
Provided a shoulder for you to cry on whenever you...

A Father's Love
From the day I was born you were my best friend
You loved me unconditionally until the end.
I remember all the times we shared together
I used to think they would last forever.
You voice and your touch
I miss so much.
Everyday without is hard and sad
Because I want back what we had.
The little walks
And the long life talks.
The holidays with those we love
But now you watch us all from above.
I am always looking for signs that you are near
And am hoping that you are there.

My Fathers Love
My father has always been an enigmatic figure
When parents divorce moms typically take the kids
Not my father he took care of all his boys
Coached and went to all of our games
Taught us to work and the value of a dollar
Made sure we went to school
Kept us away from gangs
Like any man he had his flaws
My father rarely displayed any emotions
He hugged me three times at most I can remember
Never told his boys that he loves them
My father is a modern Casanova
Treated woman with disdain
His bad ways were finally catching up to him

Happy Fathers Day
Happy Fathers day to a father that was there from the beginning,
but since you got sick life hasn't just changed for us,
but has gotten harder.
There's not much I can do for you,
but be your little girl.
I cherish all the memories we made from going bike riding all over Brooklyn,
to lining up wine glasses and shooting them.
I don't know when you'll go,
but I love you,
and even though you don't remember my name I know deep down you still know who I am,
and that I'm you little girl.
I love you dad!
