The Proposal”
Though sickness and health,
I would drive 100 miles then speed back just to get the last can of chicken soup off the shelf,
spoon feed you until every fiber of your being gets back to become “The L’Incomparable Diamond”of wealth,

Steamy night
steamy night”
Sitting down on the park bench looking at each other under the city lights,
I gently stroke your cheek with the back of my hand as we gaze into each other’s eyes on one of those hot steamy summer nights,
A love silence!Our bodies say words our mouths couldn’t speak and In a moment I thought deep,into the back of mind,with these words, The Vowel! that I would recite.
“If I had one wish, one goal above anything else in the whole wide world, it would be to make you happy for the rest of the days of our lives”
Our foreheads then touch...

A symphony of heart felt bliss
resides within a simple kiss

for he who rests in still repose

Finding you as I moved through
the rhythm of life.
Amidst the heat of an inferno,
the strife seemed never-ending.
I drove in hot to pick you up.

How could I ever love again?
Pretend that for one moment
torment was not impossible.
Probable that I would wither.
Slithering deeper into depression,
freshening my face still.
Ill but believing in a self.
Shelfing those old feelings
dealing with something new.
Shooing away the sadness.
Madness to believe that I try
drying my tears.
Years of despair once held close,
morose over me no longer.

It was not enough time.
Crime; what a harsh reality, is it not?
Taut my feelings,
dealing with this unapologetic distance.
Existence is feeling questionable.
Full of whys and what-ifs.
Cliff face diving, with my eyes closed, into love.

Moonlight’s sparkle,
Climax of tenderness.
Stars’ hex jazzed,
