Smoking
She took the cigarettes and packed them three times
Cutting the wrapper with a slick fingernail unraveling it
A flick of her wrist and one slid a bit further than the rest
Only two fingers extracted and slowly lifted it to her lips
She took my zippo and swung it open deftly lighting it in pace
Long drag ... our eyes meet and she blew the smoke all in my face

of the cheek
how it bows
like the moon, quite adroit
quite common but, always
a surprise to find
full
then half
then crescent
& then this pock
fascination of an empty space
tiny, glowing and it
appears below the fat bottom
i’d like to cup more than
one
in that slit
like a twinkle
it’s swiss
so swiss to think of you this way
piel hollows & the lips
stretch as musculature ought
be scientific, all tension ...

For instance i thought i found in you,
A shoulder to rest my sorrows as you proposed.
I should have known that it wouldnt last for long and not accept my downfall.

It was one of those lost and found cases of eons,

A symphony of heart felt bliss
resides within a simple kiss
in dreams we touch and so love flows
for he who rests in still repose
The fantasies will etch their mark
and from his heart a single spark
will light the flames of love so deep
into his very soul they seep
Such is the wellspring of his soul
an overflowing love the toll
of bells that ring of love so true
the hours of waking oft left blue
As summer wanes to newfound fall
he prays to God that through it all
