Letter to a writer Part IV (repost)
I know you remember everything. I still remember our starting point, and how easily you became my muse. I sometimes wonder what it's like to be a muse, how it must feel to be the art, and not the artist.
But then again, we both know I take all your pretty words for lies, and you can't even compliment my eyes without me wanting to hide my face. You have this way of seeing through me, and I like to pretend I have a good poker face, when the truth is you know all my tells.
Do you remember the time you almost saw me naked? Cause my boyfriend still does, and it's a strange...

It Takes Twelve Hours Just to Drive Across Texas
Got your love letter
with all the praise and thank yous
for my gentle honesty
and ability to be where you need me
Now, how do I even begin
to tell you everything I think
you should know
about the truths that hide
between words
where things unsaid linger
waiting to be heard
The spaces between stretch
with each omission
increasing tensions
you don't have room to see
Moving from crisis to chaos
and back again
time compresses
months become years
that it's felt you're unavailable ...

these songs in my chest are like birds that can't fly away
I chase down the memory of songs
like music can save me
through these lonely hours
when there's no one to talk to
and my thoughts make me crazy
I ache for touch
and bullshit words
that mean nothing and everything
in this purgatory of existence
because the idea of anything
is like a the spark of a lighter
before the inhale of whatever
is between my fingers
though today there's nothing
in my hands to set ablaze
And I miss the way
you make everything feel alright
like an ocean breeze...

This is a mild forenoon, winter coats
are put aside
Some men wear shorts and show hairy white legs
Elderly ladies are walking their lap-dogs
snappy little beast eyeing every passerby
they won the big dog lottery, guard their prize
a human for life.
A road sweeper with his wheelie bin walks by
the pavements are clean this day, but he crosses
the road among the bushes, an empty packet
of crisp, with his gloved hand ( yes
for heavens
sake,) deposit the empty packed in the bin
He wheels his bin under a...

share a cigarette and win a friend
Share a cigarette and win a friend
a leading newspaper, I read an article written by a pompous
and opinionated person, a story about cigarettes he didn't
understand since, in his goodness, he has never smoked fags or
danced barefoot in a winter park or been in love at dawn
when I was young, cigarettes were the thing a social life without
a group having a laugh and smoking was unheard of
there were still tobacco shops selling cigarettes individually
buy one if the money is tight and smoke the sigs in the shop
The shop I knew had two ladies...

A Warped Tree
Today, when not arguing with Walter the Jew
on Facebook or Twitter
the ambiance in the house was surprisingly calm since I got a key to my study in peace to read my latest collection
and found, at times, the poems had an internal rhyme and were little stories
The pity is, I have to write without a publisher and
can't afford to hire one, those I dare to ask run a thousand miles, one of them a poor man, is a lecturer in Udevalla
Last year, I visited a crooked tree so shy its roots curled in bashfulness, and its leaves took an autumnal...

Till Death Do Us Part
Will you move on if I am no more?
Will you miss the love we had in store?
Will you miss my breath upon your lips?
The memory of our first tender eclipse?
Will you curse the cruel, rotten fate?
Or move on, after a long and silent wait?
Will you miss the love we had in store?
Will you miss my breath upon your lips?
The memory of our first tender eclipse?
Will you curse the cruel, rotten fate?
Or move on, after a long and silent wait?

January««thought
A January Thought
Not being happy with planet Earth, we wonder if there
on other galaxies so far away that even Elon Musk
can bring us there; should we, on a day like this first of January, find the mystic planet we may find, to our surprise, it is just like ours, where people fight wars about what belongs to whom! We could have saved
the expenses and set about repairing the damage disbanding armies, will be hard surplus national pride must be dealt with still, I don't think smaller nations
should disband, before the USA and China do
Why not Russia?...

new year many times
New Year many times
This afternoon, I have watched many new years all over the world, in Australia, New Zealand, and other nations
it is all the same as a fireworks display (the Saudis has
the best and longest one)
I have, minutes ago, seen from the terrace the sky is afire happy fireworks, and I hear the jubilation
Sometimes, we have to enjoy the moment, in Cascais
the sky looks splendid, and this is not the time
to say the moment spent on this frivolity could have been better spent on the poor
The TV camera is out taking picture of the...

27/12
27-12 was a long day
The Christmas began with a labor dispute at the cafe in
our building the chef didn't want to come in and cook on a Saturday unless she received extra pay.
The cafe owner thought the cook was asking too much money and refused to pay, but his wife donned a white hat, and we were all served a good meal.
The chef's hours are from ten to three, I think to prepare
she dislikes if she has to work half an hour more and is
quite vociferous about that.
I think it has an unspoken racial thing because another

unsuccessful humanness
The forest he traveled had many narrow paths, there was always something new to see, like the white tree that
once wanted to be the biggest to dominate the forest
but hubris had gotten it, and for no reason, he thought
of Israel as a wrong plant among coniferous trees.
In a glade, where rabbits sat when catching the morn sun, a group of people had occupied the clearing
their leader, an enormous woman with fake blond hair
her husband was a hateful one seeking vengeance for
slights he had suffered, it had given him an ulcer ...

Dallas
I'm holding my own two sweaty
and shaking
hands
And they're together at last
My eyes are wide open as they were
And as they were in the cold and
unabashed darkness
My dreams prevailed from under
the blanket of a red laced and pretty
curtain of smoke
it was turning orange
It was a good sign that the leaves were
letting go.
