Missed Appointment
Dawn breaks over the gloomy mountains
Dark clouds come rolling in from the north
Engulfing the entire sun and city lights
As I look outside my desolate window
And I begin think to myself
“Wow, what a perfect day to die”
The tendencies begin as the sickness overwhelms
I haven’t even made a fucking cup of coffee
Get dressed in those same old blue jeans and black tee
So I can spend my morning coming up with ways to go
A high speed chase during morning rush hour would be exciting
With a fiery explosion as I sail in to the median
Or perhaps I jump off the top floor of the parking garage
“No no, these simply will not do, way too over done”
I tell myself, twirling an open box cutter over my cereal
Maybe just pass out in the garage and suffocate on exhaust fumes
But even that is way too simple, I think
Stare at the clock, “oh fuck I’m late” rushing to work
Looks like I’ll have to reschedule death for another day
Dark clouds come rolling in from the north
Engulfing the entire sun and city lights
As I look outside my desolate window
And I begin think to myself
“Wow, what a perfect day to die”
The tendencies begin as the sickness overwhelms
