Dark Deeds
In shadows we breath
we laugh in lies,
still loneliness seeks
compassionate eyes.
Without any thought, for anyone
we expect to be worth something under this sun.
Guarding our denying minds,
in freedom we chose the ways that blind.
Though longing for a deeper sense
we forget the love we lived.
we lose ourselves in our pretense
and take but do not give.

I really like the flow, it was great.
I especially enjoyed the opening lines

It is amazing how the shorter the poem, the more emotion it emits. Beautiful piece, especially the third stanza:
