Spring
I can taste spring tantilizing my senses
the almond orchards are in full bloom
I taste the sweet nectar of their buds on my toungue
swirling clouds over head hang heavy with dew
mother nature raining down from the heavens
giving sweet life to the seeds buried deep underground
the feeling of freedom as winter conceeds defeat for the moment
sun shining every being a buzz with life
I cast off my winter coat and run through the orchards
as the trees whisper secrets to me
I feel alive listening to their ancient tales
of the changing seasons
clinging to life I shrug off my depression
realising everything is born anew
and so am I.
