An interesting thought. And the very short length sets up just enough to start you thinking, then leaves you to it.

Your work is so simple and stripped of pretension, yet conveys these beautiful, melancholy thoughts. Anyone who can capture a lifetime's grief, or love, or pain, or joy, in three staccato lines, is an excellent poet. And you're a master of haiku without even knowing it, I think, as this piece alone could be considered a fine entry in that genre.

im so grateful for your words my dear jack. to tell you the truth i never thought of this poem as a haiku! i thought it was a bit too big to be considered as one of them! but if you say it is who am i to say otherwise :)
