Rerun
A perfect setting
Driving with a sunset landscape
Your song blaring on the radio
The smell of your perfume in the air
Laughing to myself at such coincidence
Now for the comedown
I look to my right and you’re not there
You gave that seat up long ago
Tears stream down my face
Pull over to the side behind a store
Letting all my emotions fall out
Pull out my blade and start again
Carving your name like a tattoo
In the arm that once held you
Bleeding me out once again
Taking all I’ve strived to keep
Keeping me from functioning
Like a normal human being
It’s just another rerun episode
In this ugly sitcom called depression
