Mourning

Where once was wood
now
only weed

Lust no longer looms large
Only a little longing
lingers

No matter

In the kitchen
after a Berryman river bath

Warming by the stove
(Plath head bread baking inside)

Into a breakfast juice glass
I scatter a shot of fresh Papa pulp
(this helps keep the sinus clear)

Later, a Mexican Gulf boat outing is in order
The twin Crane screws need some
churning

Ah, yes-
the start of a perfect day,
poetically speaking
