If I was the President

If I was the president
Made all the rules
I'd make the children pray
To a god that saves
Who spreads mercy and grace
If I was president
If I was in charge
No more guns
So no children rest in peace
But live life of endless peace
If I was president
If I had power, Fortune and fame
Id get on the news and question
What we have became
The beast of materialism we have created
It's not who you are anymore
but what you own.
You, yourself are owned though
A slave to the system
Indoctrinated at the school of
"Love The USA"
If I could create a utopia
And ruled it all
Death would be a laughing stock .
No fear of the end
It would never cross our children's  mind
The future would look to bright
To give in to deaths fright
So my kid buries me.
Not the other way around
If I was president
You would be proud of your heritage
Of your roots , The place you call home
The foundation of you.
In this nation we embrace
No longer discriminate
If I was president
If I could make change
We wouldn't educate
But celebrate
Schools will no longer mold our children
but aid our children's growth
Giving opportunity for individualism
With no doubt of acceptance of care
If I was the president
Love will no longer be a  slave to the government
Love has it's own set of laws
One that no piece of paper with ink run across can diminish the importance of
And make it illegal to just be true
To you.
An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind
So they take away the privilege we've misused
leaving our children broken and abused.
Commitment a thing of the past
An obsolete thought
If I was the president
If I could actually make change
Instead of these wild dreams
Make believe
If This fantasy
Could become actual reality
Education, equality, and peace
Then I could finally fall to sleep
And dream a new dream
