When They Can Only See Steel
Envy me not,
for I am empty
I carry a burden
one to heavy for most
so I laugh
big deal
so I live
whatever,
I feel hollow
you look to me and see happiness
I look to you and see a blind man,
you envy what you do not know
what can not feel
envy me not
for I am plagued
a war brews inside me
do you know which side I am on?,
I am used to life's shit
that's why I hold my head up high
don't think for a moment that I am arrogant
I do it to see over the miasma,
my dark eyes hide the blue
tears are boring,
and screw up my make-up
only in the rain do they fall
if I get punched, I bruise
just like you
envy me not
for I am human too
for I am empty
I carry a burden
one to heavy for most
so I laugh
big deal
so I live
whatever,
I feel hollow
you look to me and see happiness
I look to you and see a blind man,
you envy what you do not know
what can not feel
envy me not
for I am plagued
a war brews inside me
do you know which side I am on?,
I am used to life's shit
that's why I hold my head up high
don't think for a moment that I am arrogant
I do it to see over the miasma,
my dark eyes hide the blue
tears are boring,
and screw up my make-up
only in the rain do they fall
if I get punched, I bruise
just like you
envy me not
for I am human too
