Home is where the heart is,
But where is my heart?
Home is where I feel safe,
But I feel safe nowhere.
Home is the place I feel most comfortable,
But I do not feel comfy in my own skin.
Home is where I can cry,
But my tears mark every pavement.
Home is a haven,
But I only know hell.
Home is just a myth to me,
Yet others claim it's their reality.
Home is a beautiful lie,
Which I told myself was truth.
Home is a unrealistic dream,
One slumber never indulges me with.
Home is where I want to be,
Yet I do not want to exist.
But where is my heart?
Home is where I feel safe,
But I feel safe nowhere.
Home is the place I feel most comfortable,
But I do not feel comfy in my own skin.
Home is where I can cry,
But my tears mark every pavement.
Home is a haven,
But I only know hell.
Home is just a myth to me,
Yet others claim it's their reality.
Home is a beautiful lie,
Which I told myself was truth.
Home is a unrealistic dream,
One slumber never indulges me with.
Home is where I want to be,
Yet I do not want to exist.
