Actors are kinda faddy

Before i was a writer i wanted to be an actor. To me, acting was one of the simplest but most eloquent art one can do; and i still regard it as so today.
Why did i stop being an actor you ask?
Because i realised something: If money doesn't drive you as much, or spur you on as readily as being immortalised does then there is no real point in being an actor, or a famous one at that. Actors are the most famous of all artist types, and possibly the richest too. Of course though, that is its all mighty flaw. That their worth and fame is in direct subjection to their life span. Great actors of today will not be common knowledge like the artists who write their lines; When an actor dies so does the talent in it's physicality.

If a writer dies, you can still read his book. If a painter dies, you can still see his painting. Sure, if an actor dies, you can rewatch their movies but movies go stale unlike art; movies are based to please todays culture while art is an immortal mark upon the gallery based on a sun stroked idea someones mind had who died ages ago.

The main point i guess is the work for actors will always be there; those great works like Marlowe and Brect and Shakespeare will always be adapted and modified for today, it's just the simple fact of the great actor won't be there to play it, therefore giving room for greater actors that will be forgotten when their fame base dies or their movie flops.
