The Battle
In this battle
I'm alone again
I'm fighting
my only friend
this battle
never to be won
the blood of the innocent
blots out the sun
my blood on the battle field
you swing but I raise my shield
your blade it cuts me deep
through my armor my blood does seep
I'm on my knees again
bathing in blood and sin
many lives already lost
an intramural holocaust
my battle scars
are still visable
my armor's broken
my blade is dull
The battle is at a stand still
the war has ceased
we are both still fighting
only silently
my battle scars
self inflicted
your blade
spoken through your teeth
my armor
is my skin
my blade
never left its sheath
I'm alone again
I'm fighting
my only friend
this battle
never to be won
the blood of the innocent
blots out the sun
my blood on the battle field
you swing but I raise my shield
your blade it cuts me deep
through my armor my blood does seep
I'm on my knees again
bathing in blood and sin
many lives already lost
an intramural holocaust
my battle scars
are still visable
my armor's broken
my blade is dull
The battle is at a stand still
the war has ceased
we are both still fighting
only silently
my battle scars
self inflicted
your blade
spoken through your teeth
my armor
is my skin
my blade
never left its sheath
