In my tears

Eyes of a jaded hue..
I can taste you in my tears.
Comtempt with pain, yours and mine alike.
I can no longer look to your eyes, in fear it will expose the lie that I'm alright.

Can you feel the cold embrace of I?
Does my name carry through a bitter wind, burning you suffocating you?
Do these things happen to you as they do to me?
I just can't escape you..

Dreams of the times before, unvited, enter my mind.
These dreams becoming a bittersweet nightmare.
The arms that once kept me safe, now terrify me.
The voice that used to soothe.. now a claw within my ear.

You wont cry for my abscence I know, and neither shall I. But, I taste you in my tears.
To see you is now a fear.
My being, my heart is questioning, "Isn't something missing?"
And even though you burn me...
I fear my hate for you, is only a darkened love, and I can't pull through.
I fear that.. I STILL LOVE YOU
