as an artist to shake things up
to push the limits
to not stay in the comfort zone
I have nothing to say about roses and sunsets
these things have already been

drawn
sung
edified
ad nauseum
and are of no interest to me
what interests me is darkness
and how far I can bring to light
what is there
*note (nothing great just another poem but every poem is a learning experience)

i disagree my friend.. i think you do a wonderful job expressing the feelings and experiences of your mind and world.. oh and i liked how your first favorite writer was maynard james keenan.. good call.. he is an amazing writer.. other worldly.. he must have had some strange experiences as have i.. so i admire as we as sympathize and identify with his work.. but hey back to the point thank you for the support and kind words.. always appreciated buddy.. cheers!
