to me was taught without no bills.
The art to write with words to vast,
an art to write a song to last.
Start with Simile, the use of like,
"Your beauty like an angel non dare to strike".
The Metaphor now to do so direct,
"Beauty, yours, is of an angel perfect".

To make human those not, Personification,
"The sea now smiles, 'tis her temptation".
Now Allusion, to call forth hist'ry,
"Aphrodite, I see her in your beauty."
Ambiguity, to blur, to widen scope,
"I smiled, I saw her, grab now the rope!"
then goes apostrophe, none there, you talk,
"Saints I ask you to bless me as I walk".

Euphemism, phrase understated, no not a flaw,
"I did so smile, my child I saw."
Synecdoche to take a part of a whole,
"The boot walked slowly, marked not his sole."
Play with words, their sounds, that be a Pun,
"I'm cumming, in your badge eye nah Hon'."

And many more I say to you,
too vast in fact, forgot a few.
