Junkie Gods

I love everything about injecting, every self destructive and glorious detail. The preparation, pulling out a spoon and scooping those beautiful crystal shards out of a small plastic bag. Water. Crush. Mix. I love hearing the crunch meth makes as you’re breaking it down against that metal spoon. And then there’s the few flicks of the syringe before you move onto the injection itself. FLICK FLICK. When I first started using by myself, I remember the nail bed on my middle finger was purple from flicking my shots.

Have you ever heard that junkie myth, “You always end up falling in love with the first person to hit you.” I can definitely see that being true for a lot of people. If you think about it, injecting someone with meth can be easily compared to sex. Seriously, stop and think about it for a minute. There’s the initial breaking of the skin, the needle penetrating your vein. Then the injection, followed by the feelings of euphoria and pleasure as you pull out. Penetration, injection, pleasure/euphoria, the pull out. That sounds a lot like sex to me, but hey what do I know.. I’m just a twacked tweaker who's been up for a little too long.

It’s easy to see how some junkies would develop feelings for the person holding the needle. That person with the syringe in their hand is making that euphoria happen for you, and without them you’d never feel the mind blowing pleasure that has so many of us hooked. How could you not love someone who gave such an amazing thing to you?

Here’s the difference between injecting meth, and having sex; shooting up meth is immensely more pleasurable and fulfilling than having sex could ever be.. unless you’re having sex while on meth, then maybe it’s close. And the person hitting you isn’t your partner, your boyfriend/girlfriend or your lover.. they’re a junkie God.
