Depression In America
O Washington why
My founding fathers have groaned and died
America's hit it's lowest tide
The last wave 'til the ocean dries
Will fish flop sideways unto the shore
and plead our God for food and water?
Will they sleep safe, warm and sound
Are monsters breeding on this ground?
O Washington why
Why let the good ones shrivel and die?
Diseased masses will plead and cry
Their dreams of life will soon subside
Mutant lines will devour the weak.
Their friends and family will be a treat
and they will rise to blatant greed
So long they've waited for air to breathe
O Washington why
I've lost all relations with my kind
you pulled the plug; my family died
survival's the only thing on my mind
And weak limbs won't help my gills comply
Why is my master so far from my sight?
My mutant brothers spread their wings and fly
So perfectly reflected in my unblinking eye.
