A Sign
Wicked tongues spread ignorance like a raging wildfire
While naive minds struggle against the overpowering charm
Wicked tongues preach greed through a veil of lies
While naive minds struggle against the false sense of security
They build our homes on cliffs and promise the wind is kind
They nail our rotted coffins down around us
They drown the precious gifts of honor and trust
They black out the sun and rain down our own blood...
Claiming it's a sign
They swim in treasures while we drown in their debt
They fly through clouds while we fall with the rain
They toast to good fortune while we thirst with a cold sweat
They steal our lives and say our kindness is to blame
While naive minds struggle against the overpowering charm
Wicked tongues preach greed through a veil of lies
While naive minds struggle against the false sense of security
They build our homes on cliffs and promise the wind is kind
They nail our rotted coffins down around us
They drown the precious gifts of honor and trust
They black out the sun and rain down our own blood...
Claiming it's a sign
They swim in treasures while we drown in their debt
They fly through clouds while we fall with the rain
They toast to good fortune while we thirst with a cold sweat
They steal our lives and say our kindness is to blame
