the Promise
oh, I desperately hope you will come
I'm praying you'll make it
before the darkness has won
and I have become hopelessly lost
taken by my own dark frost
I'll viciously grab onto the thinnest thread
always praying you're the one
that's waiting on the other end
telling me that it's all okay
scaring the darkness away
I've always been so alone in my torn state
never finding any help
until it's always too late
nobody there to say it's okay
no one to scare the darkness away
I'm waiting for your touch so gentle, so warm
to save me from my nightmares
you made a promise, you swore
that it will always be okay
that you will scare the darkness away
I'm praying you'll make it
before the darkness has won
and I have become hopelessly lost
taken by my own dark frost
I'll viciously grab onto the thinnest thread
always praying you're the one
that's waiting on the other end
telling me that it's all okay
scaring the darkness away
I've always been so alone in my torn state
never finding any help
until it's always too late
nobody there to say it's okay
no one to scare the darkness away
I'm waiting for your touch so gentle, so warm
to save me from my nightmares
you made a promise, you swore
that it will always be okay
that you will scare the darkness away
