Dear Delusion
Hand in hand, we walked in the snow
boots crunching and sinking
crunching and sinking
Together we walk all alone
finding our way back home
roaming through the snow
I can feel the warmth of delusion
hold me and comfort me
heal me and free me
Through the cold I called out your name
you were there to hold my hand
weren't you holding my hand?
There, I swear I saw you stand
yet you left with the wind
and I let the darkness win
I thought I felt the pressure of your hand
warm and heavenly in mine
Remember? we were so entwined...
But oh sweet, beautiful delusion
you held me and comforted me
yet never healed me and freed me
And so alone, I walk in the snow
boots crunching and sinking
tears falling and stinging...
boots crunching and sinking
crunching and sinking
Together we walk all alone
finding our way back home
roaming through the snow
I can feel the warmth of delusion
hold me and comfort me
heal me and free me
Through the cold I called out your name
you were there to hold my hand
weren't you holding my hand?
There, I swear I saw you stand
yet you left with the wind
and I let the darkness win
I thought I felt the pressure of your hand
warm and heavenly in mine
Remember? we were so entwined...
But oh sweet, beautiful delusion
you held me and comforted me
yet never healed me and freed me
And so alone, I walk in the snow
boots crunching and sinking
tears falling and stinging...
