It sounded great! Just a word of advice, this might just be me, but I don't really see how the last three lines fit in... but otherwise it's great.

Its like saying We didnt care what other people had to say. We were only caught up in the time we had together.

I, too, was confused on the last 3 lines until i read the comments.
Over all though, i think that this piece is very beautiful. It is an easy read while still having power and poetic phrasing. You are very gifted.
