Former Glory
These eyes witness horror that my mind can't comprehend
Blackened harmony prays, Innocence burned by humanity
Tricked by mirages in mirrors, I hope it all ends
Cracks appear where bandages lay, I bid farewell to sanity
Darkness once treasured, Now haunts my once-simple nightmares
Flesh once pleasured, Now taunts my once-perfect reflection
Rescue me from myself, My hands draw ever nearer to the veil
Return me to my former glory, My imperfections leave me frail
These trials I face, These roads I take
Open up my eyes, My lungs have never breathed such truth
The army I once commanded, Was nothing but the demons I created
The smoke that covered my eyes, Was the poison seeping from my lies
