As if i didnt already know

As if i didn't already know
my life went down the drain
with the backed up whiskey
hurled into the toilet
i stared at it
it might as well have been my identity
swirling out of sight

as my intoxicated state gets the best of me
im great full for the grimy bathroom floor
which seems to have become the only thing that has my back
and when gravity
ceases to exist
its amusing as to what your priorities become
turning into things so simple

all i wished for in that moment
as the world screamed and danced around in my face
was for absolutely nothing
nothing in my head, eyes, face or heart
nothing

but wouldnt that just be to easy
instead im comforted by the sense that time keeps ticking
and maybe
if im lucky
this moment will be nothing more
than nothing but a blurry drunken meomry
