Angel-winged Phoenix
You who rose like angel-winged phoenix, from out of the ashes of the Earth
Added to the azure pure, the sparkling diamond of your worth
Glorious golden soul anew; shinning jewel sprung up from sullen turf
Like fireflies you burn bright again, the marvelous beauty of your rebirth
Added to the azure pure, the sparkling diamond of your worth
Shooting star aloft, affirm, yet falling fast with shimmering stream
Like fireflies you burn bright again, the marvelous beauty of your rebirth
For any an onlooker a chance tear gleam, to witness a miracle; a waking dream
Shooting star aloft, affirm, yet falling fast with shimmering stream
Strong and gentle Goddess both kind and wise
For any an onlooker a chance tear gleam, to witness a miracle; a waking dream
And yet fixed with gleaming glowing eyes?
Strong and gentle Goddess both kind and wise
Laid humble low with-in the sullen dirt
And yet fixed with gleaming glowing eyes
Bloomed flowers born of festive mirth!

Total appreciation for the second lines of each section cascading down to begin the next - clever device I've not seen before. So descriptive too - enjoyed the mental pictures this sparked during the read.

Ahhh....soo beautiful!! Your choice of words and phrasing paint such vivid imagery within the minds of your readers. Within the first three stanzas, your unique repetition, and re- positioning of the second, and fourth lines,are what add to the overall unity of this piece,and are just some of the reasons that this poem is sooo REMARKABLE!!
