geezer's lament

bikes women boats all the same thing
fall for the bling
the pretty songs they sing
go in thinking this one’ll be the one
that does everything I want it to do
figure this’ll be the last time
get real fired up
get real warmed up
talk it up
ride it roll it work it love it ‘till I fuck it
discover her flaws in small doses
she don’t handle quite right at the limit
she don’t always pull clean
got some nasty habits in the wet
slams a bit in the rough stuff
discover the ways she don’t work for me
get to thinking after a while that yeah the deal was good
but maybe there’s another one out there
that’ll do the job better
before I know it putting the word out
looking for the next
sell her move her on throw her out
left with some photos
stories
glory
leave the whole thing a while
and then outta nothing comes the next
pretty picture
nice curves
loud pipes
and oh shit fuck
here we go again
this is the one
this one’ll do it all
cruise race roll love fuck friend
in it to the end
now say it men
bikes women boats all the same game
then when I’m a geezer
broken by livin'
one more rockin’-chair racer
“say boy, there was this one bike-broad-boat
best I ever had
should never let go o’ that one”
show some photos ‘round to no-one who cares
about the wears tears fears
of once-was-great geezers
and my glory years

{a small nothing...posted 'cos I'm full of boat-love right now}
