Why do you seem so far away ,
like you don't hear me at night when I pray ~
I know I sinned and I'm in jail again ,
but I'm ready for a new life to begin ~
All these prayers they don't seem to work ,
and everyday my heart pumps pure hurt ~
It's like I'm hanging on a rope ,
with my grip slipping and I'm losing hope ~
My friends are all gone and I'm stuck all alone ,
and I know I'm old but I'm still not grown ~
It just seems you're getting further and further day by day ,
and I wonder if you're there and if you hear what I say ~
