Winter's Prayer

Thank you Lord for placing me in such a beautiful enclave
And allowing me to feel your love,
So much of which I have yet to earn.
You are most merciful, your compassion is humbling and Embarrassing.
Your love is the power, all glory has come from you,
All troubles have come from me.
You are a wise parent, I am a restless child.
Forgive my inabilities to emulate you,
Forgive my many outbursts against you,
Forgive my vain attempts to disrupt you.
Your voice is clear and pure and indisputable
And every instance of disregard is an utter failure of my flesh.
You are most forgiving to continue to share your perfection.

Forgive my sins and lead me to care for those I have sinned Against, and divert to them from me your grace,
So that I may not damage your world and darken your light.
Stay with me, and grant me the wisdom
To see all love as your eternal river,
And never succumb to the illusion
That I may claim any creation as my own.
